Introduction (Identify what, where, when the data is about & the unit of measurement)
The data is shown as a column bar chart and a line graph, which compare the average cost of fast food ordered in the USA (measured in US dollars) and the average consumption of fast foods measured in grams over a ten year period ending in 2015.
Overview (Describe what you can see GENERALLY in the data - The GENERAL TREND)
Overall, it can clearly be seen that the average cost of all convenience (or fast) foods had risen sharply over the ten years, and although the average consumption of hot dogs and burgers had fallen significantly, the consumption of buying sushi and pizzas had risen dramatically.
Paragraph 1 (Contrast 2 or 3 main features / use some complex sentences of contrast)
In more detail, although the price of the average order of pizzas and sushi had increased rapidly from $10 to $24 and $22 to $34, the amount people who were eating them had also increased. Pizza consumption had almost doubled from 220 grams to just over six hundred grams (620 gms) and similarly, despite being the least consumed fast food in 2005, sushi became the second most popular fast food by 2015 at an average consumption of just under 500 grams (480 gms)
Paragraph 2 (Contrast 2 or 3 MORE main features. Use contrasting complex sentences)
However, while the average cost of hot dogs and burgers had also risen considerably in the ten years to 2015 from $14 to $20 and from $16 to $21 respectively, the consumption of both had declined, especially hot dogs, which had decreased from 420 grams to just 250 grams from 2005 to 2015. 20 mins / Band 8.5 or 9
